We are KALAMIT̄, a rock band out of the Illinois Valley. Read through the following Q&A to learn more about us.

Q&A
How's it pronounced?
It's pronounced "Calamity." The starting "K" and ending "T" reflect the last names of our members.
What kind of music do we play?
We focus mostly on 1970s - 2000s rock and its adjacent genres, but we try to include a variety of music in our repertoire. We're also starting to make our own music.

Who's in our band?
Our band was formed by two pairs of brothers and cousins.

Klayton Kowalski is our lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist. He likes lifting, computer programming, and cats.

Aiden Tonarelli is our lead guitarist. He likes hiking, pancakes, and good old-fashioned rock n' roll.

Kage Kowalski is our bassist. He likes watching anime, playing chess, and enjoying a cold one wit da boys.

Evan Tonarelli is our drummer. He's an engineering student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
How long have we been playing?
Our debut show was on November 26, 2025 at the South Shore Boat Club in Peru, IL.
